You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. Psalm 139:5 TPT
As I read this what I see here is past, present and future! Just imagine, if you will, your timeline. God created time and therefore He is out of time, and can access all three dimensions of time at the same time.
Psalm 139 says that God has gone into our future to prepare the way. Wow! This is so comforting to me. Because I know that God is good and therefore if I truly believe God is good and that He has gone into my future, then, I believe that, in that place in my future, where God is good, that only goodness is there. This is an awesome thought to meditate on.
Then this verse says, “and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past.” Another ‘wow’ verse for me. Could this mean that all those things that were harmful or bad in our past that somehow, we can be spared from the harm that those things tried to bring to us. In kindness He follows behind us. Again, just imagine Him following behind you in kindness.
From the past to the future His hand of love is upon your life and He imparts a blessing to you.
This verse is so worthy to mediate on and allow God to bring you to a place to trust him for your life.
As I mediate on the verse for my life, for my timeline and come into agreement with what God has written in my Book of Life, I hear these words today “Trust Me”.
Trusting is an action. Let’s choose today, no matter what the situation looks like to trust God! Let God do today what only God can do in your life and choose to trust Him for the outcome.
