Wow! What a season we are in! It feels like every time we blink, there’s a new headline, a major update, or a shift in global dynamics. In today’s fast-paced world, even news that’s a few hours old feels outdated. Yet, amid this whirlwind of chaos, we find reassurance in God’s sovereignty and the command to “occupy until He comes.”
A Call to Occupy and Engage
No matter how unpredictable the times may seem, God’s instruction remains clear: we are called to engage, influence, and take action. In Luke 19 and Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus teaches the Parable of the Talents, emphasizing stewardship, responsibility, and faithful engagement with what we have been given. We are not called to retreat in fear but to step forward boldly, using our gifts and influence for His Kingdom.
What does it mean to occupy?
To occupy means to do business, engage in culture, and bring transformation within our spheres of influence. Whether in media, education, politics, business, or the church, we are called to be the light and salt of the earth. This means speaking truth, mentoring, praying, teaching, and standing firm in faith, even in the face of opposition.
Recognizing the Battle and Standing Firm
Joseph Z has spoken about a time of “redemptive instability.” This means we must be aware of the enemy’s tactics and remain steadfast in God’s calling. The world’s elites may attempt to suppress voices of truth, but the Ecclesia—the Church—has the authority to push back and hold the line. History shows that when God’s people pray and take action, darkness is exposed and righteousness prevails.
Nehemiah 4:17 describes how builders worked with swords strapped to their sides, prepared to defend their mission while constructing something lasting. Likewise, we must build the Kingdom while standing guard against the enemy’s schemes.
Walking in God’s Peace Amidst Chaos
In a world marked by fear, economic shifts, and spiritual battles, God offers us supernatural peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us not to be anxious but to bring everything to God in prayer. True peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of God in the midst of it.
Key Scriptures for peace and resilience:
• John 16:33 – “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
• Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trusting in the Lord brings stability, even when the world is shaking.
• Psalm 119:105 – The Word of God is our guiding light through uncertain times. Holding the Line in 2025
Holding the Line in 2025
We are witnessing a battle between righteousness and deception. Governments, media, and institutions are facing exposure, and spiritual warfare is intensifying. As believers, we must:
• Stay informed and discerning.
• Use our voices to spread truth and righteousness.
• Stand firm in prayer and intercession.
• Support fellow believers and remain united.
• Occupy every sphere of society with bold faith.
Psalm 23:5 reminds us that God prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Even in turbulent times, He sustains, protects, and empowers us.
A Time for Boldness and Action
As darkness increases, so must our boldness. We cannot afford to be passive spectators. Instead, we must rise with unwavering faith and declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
2025 is a year of radical exposure, spiritual awakening, and opportunities for the Church to shine. Let us take up our weapons of prayer, truth, and faith and build with the other hand. We will resist, we will stand, and God will answer our prayers.
Let’s rise, take action, and see the goodness of God in the land of the living!
